Streams of Whiskey - Folk with Attitude

Ulverston/Lindal folk band "Streams of Whiskey" opened the Astute Submarine Launch Party in the Devonshire Dock Hall on June 8th in front of thousands of BAE Systems employees and guests. During their exuberant half-hour session they really got the crowd hooked on their mixture of Irish folk covers and songs that they had written themselves. The follow-on session from renowned tribute band "Killer Queen" seemed quite tame by comparison.
Lindal lads Adam Dack, Chris Thompson and Jack Dalziel showed off their talents on banjo, whistles, accordion, mandolin, harmonica, drums, percussion and vocals. Together with band members David Moir on bass guitar & vocals, Eryl Owen on lead vocals & guitar, and Ruth Tarr on violin, they showed an impressive degree of confidence and professionalism, especially given that they are all teenagers. Most important of all, they provided great entertainment. See them locally if you can, so that you too can say in coming years that you knew them before they were famous!
